One jar of each (Buckwheat and Tupelo Honey)
Buckwheat Honey By Castle Rock Honey, Fayetteville, GA - 1 Lb Jars - $16.00
The darker the honey, the higher the sugar content. Called "Black Honey" this is one of the sweetest of the honeys you can find.
Tupelo Honey By Castle Rock Honey, Fayetteville, GA - 1 Lb Jars - $20.00
Fine Tupelo is more expensive because it cost more to produce this excellent specialty honey. To gain access to the river locations where the honey is produced requires expensive labor and equipment.
Tupelo honey is produced from the tupelo gum tree which grows profusely along the Chipola and Apalachicola rivers of northwest Florida. Here in the river swamps, this honey is produced in a unique fashion.
Tupelo honey is not just a southern honey, it is only produced in two tiny regions of the Southeastern United States, the Okeefenokee Wildlife Refuge on the Georgia-Florida line and the Apalachicola River basin right in the crook of Florida where the peninsula becomes the panhandle.
